saw the great gatsby today with two of my best friends and our mommas! it was good, haters gonna hate. the book is still way better, obvi, but i appreciate the amount of symbolism that was incorporated into the film. the movie was a little dizzying and unordered at times, but the cast did an amazing job. i was particularly surprised with toby mcguire as carraway, because i don’t much care for the actor but he did better than i expected. and leo was the perfect gatsby.
